Wednesday 28 June, at the restaurant “Strada Facendo” by chef Emilio Barbieri in Modena, the sixth stage of the travelling tour “SquisITA – Italy in a mouthful”promoted by METRO Italia on the occasion of its 50th anniversary to underline the company's strong link with the excellent local produce. A tour to discover the Excellent raw materials, symbol of local tradition, which aims to promote a debate among all stakeholders in the out-of-home consumption sector.

Emilia-Romagna plays an important role in supplying quality local products, with approximately 85 companies collaborating with METRO in the supply of wine, cheeses, cured meats, fruit and vegetables, and fish, many of which are IGP (26), DOP (27) and DOCG (4) certified. For this reason, a visit to the region was almost inevitable and we at La Lanterna are proud to have been chosen as an example of a high-quality local business.
